Great route & thanks for uploading. This is a class ride, coastal section especially. Worth pulling over to take in the views: canĀ“t ride these twisties and sightsee at the same time. My kind of ride.
This is one route to definitely ride. The best part was the coastal section. I'll surely head for this route again
From Barnstaple head through Exmoor National park. Road is amazing, newly laid, great viz through corners. Excellent. Follow signage to Minehead, traffic can be irritating lots of buses but.....It gets sooooo much better. Road opens up, A38 is killer through lyton and lymouth. The views at the top end of Exmoor north ridge are exceptional. Moors and valleys one side and the coastal drop on the other. Some really steep hills to climb and drop too. Once back to Black moor gate head towards the coast again via A399 and long lane. Follow sign to Croyde. Once in Croyde check out the thatch pub for some grub. Bit pricy - nachos are good though. Head out of Croyde via Saunton sands, the view from the headland is pretty damn fine too. Head back to Barnstaple on the A361 be careful there are couple of speed cameras as you come into the town. Took us three and a half hours(ish) no one was driving mental. Hope you enjoy the trip, take a camera.....
