Great tips, thanks
This route is just spectacular for its scenery. If you do it in nice weather it is tour-biking heaven. Only minus would be the relatively low number of good places to eat & sleep (unless you camp), and the steep price for such. The route is much more interesting than the E6-highway that most tourists going to Nordkapp takes, but will cost you some extra time (well worth it). Combine it with the Lofoten islands for the best of costal scenery anywhere.
A seminal road much like Californias Highway 1. Route 17 follows Norways spectacular coastline. Theres a lot of ferry crossings so be sure to buy a ferry schedule before you go. Watch for speed traps.
In front of the Svartisen glacier that extends down towards Nordfjorden.
