You'll rarely use the highway again to ride between Orange and Bathurst once you've ridden this road. It's a nice ride either way - east or west. It's the sort of road you'd do at the start or the end of a ride to or from Orange or Bathurst. There are some tricky corners that require care so take it easy the first time you ride it until you get used to them.
